Microscope Fiend Taking a break from writing my dissertation to finally make a video about my research using a classic hip hop beat from Eric B. & Rakim's album Follow the Leader. Sorry to Mr. Eric B., but I am not talented enough to replicate or sample such a dope beat so I had to use it unaltered (but I did shout you out at the end - Eric B. for president 2012). I felt that if I made a video similar to "Cruise Cruise Baby" (www.youtube.com or "Under the Boat," (www.youtube.com I'd have to do it in a way that would ultimately show respect to hip hop. Vanilla ice and T-Pain are cool, and I have all their music - even "Ninja Rap," but using their music would be similar to the way McDonald's commercials used break dancers, instead of quality food, to sell burgers back in the day...corny. *This isn't supposed to be a Lonely Island-like "joke" rap either. This is the kind of thing I do when I need a break from research and writing. From start to finish, it took less than 6 hours to make this video (gotta love Apple products). This is less boring way to hear about my research.
